We do collect personal information in order to open and administer your accounts with us and to provide you with accurate and pertinent advice. We hold all personal information you provide to us in the strictest confidence. We do not disclose information to nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law, and do not anticipate doing so in the future. If we were to change our firm policy, we would be prohibited under the law from doing so without advising you first. As you know, we use financial information that you provide to us to help you meet your personal and professional financial goals. Our policy with respect to personal information about you is set forth below.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone or provide your personally identifiable information to mailing list vendors or solicitors for any purpose.

We limit employee and agent access to information only to those who have a business or professional reason for knowing, and only to nonaffiliated parties as permitted by law. (For example, federal regulations permit us to share a limited amount of information about you with a brokerage firm in order to execute securities transactions on your behalf, or so that our firm can discuss your financial situation with your accountant or lawyer, with your permission.) We comply with the California Financial Information Privacy Act and with the privacy obligations under the Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of Residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

We will provide notice of changes in our information sharing practices. If, at any time in the future, it is necessary to disclose any of your personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this policy, we will give you advance notice of the proposed change so you will have the opportunity to opt out of such disclosure.

ShariaPortfolio only shares the nonpublic personal information of its Clients with unaffiliated entities or individuals (i) as permitted by law and as required to provide services to ShariaPortfolio’s Clients, such as with representatives within our firm, securities clearing firms, insurance companies and other service providers of ShariaPortfolio, or (ii) to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. ShariaPortfolio may also disclose nonpublic personal information to another financial services provider in connection with the transfer of an account to such financial services provider. All included, ShariaPortfolio holds any personal information you provide to us in the strictest confidence. To address possible financial exploitation; to confirm the specifics of your current contact information or health status or the identity of any legal guardian, executor, trustee, or holder of a power of attorney; or otherwise permitted by applicable rules, regulations, and laws, ShariaPortfolio may notify and prompt your custodian to communicate with your Trusted Contact designation, a resource to contact on your behalf, which may have been provided to unaffiliated entities or individuals (i) as permitted by law and as required to provide services to ShariaPortfolio’s Clients. Further, in the normal course of business, ShariaPortfolio may disclose information it collects about Clients to entities or individuals that contract with ShariaPortfolio to perform servicing functions such as recordkeeping or computer-related services.

Finally, ShariaPortfolio may make good faith disclosure of the nonpublic personal information of its Clients to regulators who have regulatory authority over ShariaPortfolio.

Personally, identifiable information about you will be maintained during the time you are a client, and for the required time thereafter that such records are required to be maintained by federal and state securities laws. After this required period of record retention, all such information will be destroyed. (If you identify an inaccuracy in your personal information, please contact us so we may promptly update our records.)
